Guidance & Counselling

Guidance and counselling have come to play a significant role in the field of education.Guidance, in simple terms, means to direct or provide assistance to someone who needs help.Counselling refers to professional services provided to an individual who is facing a problem and needs help to overcome the problem. Counselling is considered to be an integral and central part of guidance.

Guidance and counselling are oriented towards helping students understand themselves, become self-sufficient in making realistic and positive choices, and develop healthy human relationships and concerns.

Guidance and Career Counselling sessions for students from Classes IX to XII were organised from time to time at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Pushp Vihar. The purpose of these sessions was to provide proper knowledge about various career options and opportunities in the fieldsof Science, Commerce and Humanities, so that students could choose an appropriate career according to their interests.

These sessions were conducted by our learned PGTs from different streams.Mrs. Anuja Sharma conducted a session on career options in the field of Biology,Mr. Manoj Kumar Duwesh conducted a session in the field of Chemistry,Mrs. Seema conducted a session on career options in the field of Commerce,and Mr. Subodh Jha conducted a session in the field of Humanities.

Students benefited greatly from these sessions, as they gained valuable insights that will help them identify and pursue careers according to their interests and abilities. From time to time,students are also guided about vocational learning by their subject teachers and Mr. R. S. Rawat.
